Pullman Singapore Hill Street - Luxury hotel - Our Sustainability Initiatives

Our Sustainability Initiatives

Our Commitment

At Pullman Singapore Hill Street, we are firm believers in responsible tourism and are committed to implementing sustainable practices throughout our operations. As a proud member of the Accor family, we align with Accor’s sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) vision. We are committed to fostering inclusivity, limiting our carbon footprint, and ensuring the care and support of our local ecosystems, while addressing our guests’ concerns about social and environmental responsibility.

Leading the Way in Sustainable Hospitality

Our vision is to become a leading example of sustainable hospitality in Singapore. We are actively working towards this goal through continuous improvement in energy and water efficiency, responsible waste management, and active engagement with our stakeholders. We are dedicated to supporting the local community and investing in a multi-year plan to ensure our long-term sustainability goals are met. As of 2024, Pullman Singapore Hill Street is honoured to have achieved the prestigious Green Globe™ Certification, a global leader in Sustainable Tourism Certification. This certification aligns us with our mission and dedication to world-class sustainable tourism standards.

By implementing these initiatives, we aim to create a positive impact on the environment and the local community while offering our guests an exceptional experience.

Our Sustainable Efforts

Explore the sustainable practices implemented throughout Pullman Singapore Hill Street, where every effort is made to create a greener, more responsible future.

Self Check-In Kiosks and Wooden Key Cards
Our self check-in kiosks reduce paper waste associated with traditional check-in processes. Additionally, we offer wooden key cards as a sustainable alternative to the regular plastic key cards.

In-Room Sensors
Our innovative in-room sensors enhance guest comfort, convenience and energy efficiency. These devices control air conditioning temperatures and switch off lights when rooms are unoccupied, contributing significantly to our green efforts.

Water Filters in Every Room
To reduce the consumption of single-use plastic bottles, guests are provided with clean and refreshing drinking water through in-room water filters. This conserves water resources and promotes environmental responsibility.

Full-Bottle Bathroom Amenities
Refillable bathroom amenities are offered in full bottles, a sustainable practice that significantly reduces plastic waste.

Linen and Towel Reuse Program
As part of our water and energy conservation efforts, we encourage guests to reuse linens and towels instead of replacing them daily.

Garden to Table
Located on the 3rd floor next to the outdoor swimming pool, Garden to Table is where nature’s flavours take center stage. Embodying Pullman’s farm-to-table ethos, we hand-select fresh herbs, vegetables and produce such as Italian basil, rosemary, thyme, calamansi, lemongrass and more, to supplement our innovative dishes served at our in-house restaurant & bars.

Working with Divert for 2nd Life (D2L)
In partnership with D2L, we focus on waste management through food recovery, surplus diversion, and redistribution programs. Alongside over 300 Surplus Savers, surplus food is diverted from waste streams, giving it a new lease on life.

Community Support: Collaboration with 13 Honey
We are proud to support local farming communities by partnering with 13 Honey, a Singaporean beekeeping pioneer. Together, we embrace the farm-to-table philosophy, while reducing our carbon footprint, which fosters a thriving local food ecosystem.

Landscape Irrigation
Our responsible water management practices include advanced irrigation systems that optimises water schedules and frequencies.

Paperless Operations
We minimise printing by going digital. This includes using QR codes on IPTV for in-room dining orders and promotional flyers, significantly reducing unnecessary paper waste.

Installation of Solar Panels
We have installed solar panels at El Chido, our rooftop venue, to harness solar energy and reduce our reliance on conventional energy sources.

Cultural and Environmental Tourism Program
Our cultural and environmental tourism program promotes sustainable tourism in our neighbourhood, providing guests with enriching experiences that support our local culture and environment.
